I'm Lovin' It

It's official. Will has a job.

I looked out the window the other morning and there he was,
zippin' down the road, off to points unknown. To me.

Sure enough. I stopped in for my beloved Diet Coke and guess who was behind the counter!!

I'm not sure how long he'll be there. He seemed to find a few comfy spots for naps.

And he has a heck of a time getting in and out of his car.

Surprising for a monkey, I know.

I don't think the girls at McD's have to worry too much about their job security.
Will spends more time monkeying around than working.

I think he's read one too many Curious George books.

Both he and Wilhelmina are oodles of fun.
Can you tell?

** Mucho thanks to dear Vickie at Ranger 911 for Will/Wilhelmina (and the McDonald's brainwave). I had so much fun finally trying out the new sewing machine I picked up in the fall. I hope that my long neglected embroidery skills will improve when I get out my better reading glasses and have a little practice.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I'm so glad McWill is done freeloading and is now gainfully employed! Do you get a family discount on your daily soda fix? I certainly hope so! You may even be up for a major McWard.

Hehe. I love his retro uni and his wheels, too! A new kind of ATV? Frymobile? At least he has a scenic drive to work.

Now do tell, what did the "real" employees think of Will? The photos don't look Photoshopped to me, or are they?

I'll have a McChicken Sandwich (hold the sauce), a small order of fries, and a Diet Coke, please. Ah, Will? Will?! Ronald? Somebody?

It's so hard to find good help these days.

    1. Thanks Vickie, you're right; no Photoshopping (except on his scenic drive). The girls LOVED him. Can you pull over and wait in the drive thru parking? The monkey in the kitchen has things fouled up - your chicken will be a few minutes....

  5. Oh my goodness, do your talents know no bounds?!

No wonder the orders get messed up. The workers are off taking naps. Glad to see you have had some blue sky. I'm also wondering if it's really safe for a monkey to be driving on those snow covered roads? Or is he on the bobsled run and letting it "take him"? What a personality! (you and the monkey!)

    1. PS: Is Will a cheerleader on the side. I noticed he's sporting some sweet pom poms on his wrists.

  6. Oh my gosh - this is hysterical! I bet the McD employees faces were priceless as you were snapping pics of your sock monkey at the serving counter. I love your willingness to be silly and "play" - I bet you're such a FUN mom to Macy.

  9. Perhaps your little sock monkey could keep driving down the road to Saskatchewan, then I'll take some pics at a local McD's and send him down the road to somewhere else. You could start a fan page on facebook, we could track him across Canada! What fun!

Fun post, bought a smile to my face...love his hat!

  12. I'm a fan of Vickie's monkeys so I had to jump over and see this post! This is too cute. I'm a big fan of McDoodles, but I've never had this much fun!

  13. I had to come back by again from Donna's party to tell you how brilliantly Will stands out in the crowd at the party. That picture of him with the sky and the the mickey D's sign as a backdrop is stellar photography and all the girls are ogling him. That's a portrait for the gallery if you ask me. Maybe you should have a gallery at your house with a characteristic photo of each of your fun house gang doing what they do best in one of their classic poses. You would have the walls lined full. Me, I'd have the lizards of Lizwood in their chaise lounges. I'm still cracking up at that.

  16. This is absolutely hilarious.

We also have a sock monkey named JJ and he is soooo envious of Will's new job. Loves the uniform LOL. So glad I clicked through from Laurie's blog. I'll be back! :<)

  18. I'm not too sure about that. I think Will would be a real hit at McDonald's. He looks like management material to me. Too cute!!!
